Anand Vihar Retreat
Almost a decade ago a small beginning was made. In a relatively unknown village of Rahtoli, a small modest structure, built to house an electrical pump was constructed. Small groups have been gathering here periodically to discuss the teachings of J.Krishnamurti. The gatherings have been held on weekends and people from different walks of life have attended them.
About Us
The J.Krishnamurti Self Education Society, Mumbai is an organization formed in the early nineties by friends residing in and around the city of Mumbai. They have been meeting, holding discussions and conducting gatherings for the last several years.
The Society was formed with the objective of disseminating the teachings of J.Krishnamurti and to give an opportunity to the people interested in his teachings to stay in a quiet, simple place in proximity to nature and to reflect in solitude about the diverse problems faced by humanity.
The Retreat has three twin cottages, a dining hall and meditation room. It has all the books and Video Cassettes of J.Krishnamurti. Monthly weekend gatherings are held.
